Welcome to Take Time For Yourself Massage.

I have a passionate interest in women's reproductive issues and massage therapy.
Over 10 years ago, I personally experienced secondary infertility, and through The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™ I was able to return my body to a state of homeostasis and hemodynamics that enabled me to successfully conceive and maintain a healthy pregnancy.  Not only did my reproductive health greatly improve, but so did my digestion.  I admired and believed in this modality so much that I became a Certified Practitioner of the Maya Abdominal Therapy.  My studies of this technique took me all over the United States to learn, as well as being able to learn from Dr. Rosita Arvigo in Belize.  She apprenticed with the Mayan Healer, Don Elijio Panti, and introduced this technique to the world.  I have helped my clients, both men and women, significantly improve their reproductive and digestive health.  

Another aspect of this training was learning about Spiritual Healing (the healing of the self) through techniques that come from the Mayan lineage and through the use of plants.  Emotions can become stuck in different areas of the body.  The techniques and plants can help the emotions become unstuck and move the emotions out of the body.  

​I also received training in Advanced Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage for Pregnancy - Pre Conception through Post Partum.
  I am able to provide ATMAT treatments if you are pregnant or wish to become pregnant.  This modality is effective at all stages of a woman's and man's reproductive health.

I enjoy continuing learning new techniques and always learning about health.  In the Fall of 2018, I learned the practice of fire cupping and can incorporate that into your massage if desired.

I look forward to nourishing your body and mind with customized massage and bodywork that meets your needs. My goal is to return you to your daily life with less tension, increased energy, and a feeling of empowerment.

My Background
Prior to starting Take Time For Yourself Massage in 2006, I worked in the social services field. While working and raising a family, I began to sense my home/work-life was not in balance. I felt excess stress within me,
and witnessed it in my coworkers and clients.  I decided to attend the Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork in NE Minneapolis.

As a massage therapist, I discovered a holistic way to live out my
passion of caring for others and ensuring their well-being, as well
​as finding personal balance.  

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
I really enjoy the outdoors and LOVE to travel.  Being in nature during all four seasons really recharges my soul.  Running, yoga, skiing, hiking,
and kayaking are some of my favorite ways to work out.  I enjoy
cooking and am trying as best I can to incorporate healthy, clean
​foods into my family's meals.
